Short bio


Luis Vicente is Associate Professor of Finance at University of Zaragoza (UZ) and member of the academic committee of the PhD programme in Accounting and Finance offered by the UZ. He has taught courses in financial economics at Faculty of Economics and Business Administration since 2001.

Professor Vicente received his doctorate in Finance from UZ. His dissertation on Spanish Mutual funds received the Social Sciences PhD Award of the UZ in 2004. Professor Vicente obtained the Financial Research Award (Accésit) "Antonio Dionis Soler" in 2015.

His main research area of interest includes asset management and behavioural finance, especially in mutual funds and pension funds. He has written several articles that have been published in academic journals such as Journal of Banking and Finance, OMEGA-The International Journal of Management Science, Journal of Financial Services Research, Journal of the Operational Research Society, Journal of Pension Economics and Finance, and other publications cited in Social Science Citation Index.

He has been Visiting researcher and lecturer at different European universities: University Carlos III (Madrid, Spain), University of Maastricht (Netherlands), University of Minho (Braga, Portugal), University of Rostock (Rostock, Germany) and University of Warsaw (Warsaw, Poland). In addition to his research, he has supervised and participated in several projects for the excellence in teaching.
